Something about ASEAN and importance of citizen armed force..
ASEAN is a regional organisation which was formed in 1967 from 5 to 11 countries....
It had been both successful and unsuccessful....
Successful because
1. Boost up economic and cultural development

>attract Japan investors...
2. Able to ensure peace and stability
>asked Cambodia to form a new democratic government
Unsuccessful because
1.Could not stop conflict on territory and natural resource

-Claim over Sipadan and Lipatan
Citizen armed force is important because Spore is a small country and also cannot affort for proffessional army....
To the further extent, it is not important alone....
Singapore needs their own Defence Industry for latest weapons....
Strong foundation of national loyalty in youths....
Bilateral and Multilateral Millitary- good relation with neighbouring countries...
Needs to carry out Total defence for prepared Singaporeans....
So that enemy will think twice before attacking....
to maintain peace, stability and security
